You can vote now with Absentee Voting even if you're not In the County on election day .
Please note that this Special Election is scheduled for Spring Break in many of the District's school systems. If you will be out of the County during Spring Break, please make plans now to vote absentee.

How to be an Absentee Voter:
In Person (The Easy Way)
The easiest way is to go to the Madison County Courthouse, Circuit Clerk's office, 2nd Floor. Voting is available now 8:30 am - 5 pm, Monday through Friday. Your photo ID will be required. March 22 is the last day to vote absentee at the courthouse!
Paper Ballot (Hard Way)
While paper absentee voting is also available, it is a 2-step process that has many pitfalls. You must first request an absentee ballot and then fill out the ballot correctly. Many votes are not counted because of voter errors in this paper process. March 22 is the last day to request an absentee ballot. March 26 is the last day to hand deliver or postmark your absentee ballot.
